hey i was going to post that Enews update myself. You beat me to the punch. Thanks for getting the deals out to the world :)

Waiting on seagate 7200 1.5tb to come down to where I bought them at during the 2 for $200 dell deal 8 months ago. Want some more storage. About 500gb left.

They are that price. [EDIT] Doh, these are 5900rpm. The 7200's do appear on sale for $99 fairly regularly, though. [/EDIT]
That's a fairly common sale price for them.

Uhhh $99 + $99 = $198 I'm sure you can give them an extra $2 if you feel you need to in order to get the best deal. ;)

The i7 860 is also on sale for $199.

Question, what's their internal price match policy on sale items? ie; I bought the 860 2 weeks ago for $229.99 and was wondering if they would give me the difference if I went in.

I use them as a media server. Would 5900 rpm be okay for multiple streams at the same time? Typically stream one movie on the host computer, and another movie to my HTPC.

I got a 7200 rpm after bing for 100 a bit back. Still waiting on the ebill me rebate to bring it down to 75.

It used to be 60 days, no questions. I used it two years ago when I bought a 8800GT for 280 banking on the fact that it would go on sale within 60 days. It did, and I got my refund.

I believe they will match up to 30 days. If you are like me and live approx 70 miles from them, you can call and they will do it over the phone; at least thats what they did for me. at that time I even bought 2 and they matched both of them :D

There would not be a issue as far as streaming, these drives can stream multiple files with out any lag or jerkyness.

Rotational speed and seek speed primarily impact small objects. A 1080P stream is around 6-8mb/s. The slowest of drives can easily do 100+mb/s for large objects.
