Looks great!

Ya know? I never thought of heading up to the thumb area for sunsets in Michigan. That's a hell of an idea. I'm planning on going up to Traverse City for a day next weekend (we're going to be up in Mio), and trying to get some then, but I think the thumb would be a lot easier..

Great pics though! I love that first one.

Cheers!

blackedge: thanks for the comments.

All three photos were taken at Port Crescent State Park (at the very tip of the thumb.) Its a pretty nice place and fairly easy to get to - just take M-53 North all the way up.

PS.what camera are you using?

Thanks. Camera is the Canon Digital Rebel w/ Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 lens.

nice shots, especially the second one. are you using a polarizer or UV filter? you may consider picking those things up if you decide to keep shooting sunsets...

Thanks, I think I've seen you over at the FM forums.

I do have both, but unfortunately did not have them available at the time. :(
