Mice for smaller hands?

My G500 is dying, so I've started looking for a replacement. I have smaller hands (7" wrist to middle fingertip, 3.25" across the palm; I wear a small glove), and the G500 often feels too big/awkward to hold, so I probably won't be picking up another G500/G500s. The thing is, apart from the size/shape, the G500 is pretty much my perfect mouse. I use all of the buttons and appreciate the ability to change the weight. Ideally, I'd like its replacement to at least have on-the-fly switchable dpi and 3 thumb buttons (in addition to the dpi buttons, left and right click, and scroll wheel). I can deal with no weights as long as the other features are present. I primarily play FPS, though I occasionally branch out into pretty much every other genre, so I need something versatile, and I'm not looking to break the bank on something like the Mamba or the Orobouros.

So far, the closest thing I can find is the CM Storm Havoc, but that's very nearly the same size/shape as the G500. The Roccat Kone Pure is also in the running (I like the size), but the Easy-Shift feature seems pretty gimmicky and difficult to use in a fps environment.

Are there any other options that I'm missing here? Or am I just going to have to compromise?

I have small hands and I find that the Logitech G9x is perfect for me. However, Logitech discontinued the mouse and haven't announced any news regarding a successor for it.

I've heard good things about the CM Storm Spawn and it is also a small mouse. Perhaps you might like it.

If you're willing to compromise (only two thumb buttons, DPI switch is on the bottom of the mouse), the Zowie EC2 eVo is nice for smaller hands.

Definitely wouldn't work - I change my dpi too often to have the switch on the bottom.

I have tiny hand and I find the g700 fits very comfortably in my hands. Best Buy carries them so you can always go see how one fits in your hand. Also all those buttons are very easy to reach and well placed.

I was actually there last night. I was surprised at how well the G700 fit my hand, since it's (numbers-wise) a significantly larger mouse than the G500). I ended up not liking the placement of the three buttons next to the left click button - too hard to figure out which one you were pressing - and it was too heavy for my taste. Instead, I picked up a G602, which has a similar shape but a slightly different button arrangement, and the weight is somewhat adjustable since you can run one or two batteries. Best Buy even has it on sale right now, and it matched the lowest price online.

I have the Razer Orochi and it is a very small mouse. It has adjustable DPI in increments of 125. You can change DPI on the fly with convenient side buttons. It can be wired or wireless. It is weight adjustable, as you can stuff it with batteries, or keep it feather light without.

If you're looking for an extremely small and precise mouse like myself, I couldn't imagine a better choice.

I have small hands and use a Sensei Raw, it's a great mouse and really comfortable. Since you used the G500 it has the same sensor. It has a DPI switch and onboard memory so you can just plug it in and it will remember the setting so you don't need software (only needed to program it initially). It only has 2 DPI settings if you can live with that.

It has 2 side buttons on each side of the mouse, so 4 side buttons in total.

I have researched the *** out of this very much, and I would highly recommend to get the Logitech G100s, best mouse for small hands, IMO. But if you don't like this mouse, I would consider: Razer Abyssus, CM Storm Spawn.

Actually funny you mention that. I too was at Best Buy last night and saw that the G602 was on sale. I decided to take one home and try it out. So far I'm loving it. I wouldn't say it's any better or worse then the G700, just different so far. I actually really miss the infinite scroll wheel that the G700 has. I was surprised because I thought stuff like that was kind of gimmicky. I'm finding it's rather convenient actually. Also I think the button placement on the G700 works better for my hands.

Hello!! I haven't seem this mentioned yet, but I, too, was a very big G9x user. I used it without the shell on it because I'm a "claw" type grip. I've been trying out many different mice trying to get the same feel as my g9x.

I came across this one and it seems like a very good mouse for small handed users. I just got it so I can't say much about the performance.
