mic problem almost solved???

i managed to get it recording!!!! my headset works!.

only problem is i can hear it through the speakers as well, but i have "what u can hear" down to 0% ... anyone know what my problem is?

Anyway, 42o, Open up your windows volume control panel. Do you see something called "Mic"? (Assuming you have it plugged into the mic input on your computer.

If not, then click options > properities. Make sure playback is selected, and put a check mark next to Microphone (or Mic). Click ok twice. Now you should be able to control the mic volume. So, in your case, just mute the thing.
