I've been using zalman clip-on mics for about 4 years and they will just randomly stop working or the cord will break because it's 300ft long and thin, so I'm looking for a good alternative for live streaming and Skype mostly, something crisp.

I've been looking at the Modmic or Samson meteor but not sure about it picking up a lot of keyboard noise and background noise (traffic, etc) with the zalman people can hear dust hitting the floor in Skype and complain

Any suggestions?
