Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

I wonder if the 'open world' aspect will be more BOTW or 'Halo' (large open areas leading to a single destination).

I am kinda impressed with the visuals the S2 is putting out with this game. Can't wait to play it Thursday.

So far it is alright. Not a fan of the desert. It really disjoints the world. The back tracking to upgrade weapons annoying. It is just padding. I don't get the hate for Miles character. He barely interruptions. The HDR implementation really makes the game pop.

It's a Metroid game. There is always backtracking. Unless you mean more than usual?

Yes there are but when you get the elemental chips you have to go back to home base to unlock the ability is really annoying since it is a long track back through a empty desert. It is nothing but padding.

Near the end of this. The forced green crystal hunt bullshit is really tainting this game for me. They seriously thought it was a good idea to force people to aimlessly drive around the desert driving through crystals for a hour in order to finish the game. It’s not optional either. I generally enjoyed the game and even the padding of the desert, but the green crystal hunt BS is really bad.
