Method for testing video card OC stability?

I installed a VF-700 on my PNY 6800 GT and couldn't believe the drop in temp I got. Up to 17c less than the stock cooler under full load! PNY has one grade A pos heatsink.

Anyhow now Im ready to OC this sucker. Whats the best method for checking stability/artifacts etc? (Besides a lot of gaming of course.) Loop 3dMark03 for a couple hours? I used to use ATI Tool for my 9800 Pro with the artifact detector although it seemed a bit buggy. Is there a similar app for Nvidia cards?

I'm not sure about which stresses the GPU more but I would just let 03 or 2001 loop for a couple hours and then let some recorded game demos loop for a while. I've noticed games based on the Unreal engine are very sensitive to system stability and overclocking so if you have it run UT2004 or UT2004 on a recorded time demo. Americas Army also uses that engine and I've had it crash on me a couple times when overclocking.
 
3DMark 2001 isn't going to stress your card like 3DMark 2005 (newer feature add more heat). I use ATiTool but I don't think it will work for you. I use Prime95 for CPU and Memory stress testing. I would have to finish up with. Use your most demanding game. Play it for 20 minutes (or less) and check your temps. If there ok play it for another hour and check your temps. Use whatever time schedule you feel comfortable with.

I like this because I open up a window as large as I can and still view The gpu temps in the NV panel as well as monitor my other temps in Everest on the side of my display. About 1/2 inch by 2 inches
I would explain what rthdribl does but you would be better served if you went to the site and read it yourself ;)
In a nut shell it will push your card to the max, just let it run a bit
