Metal Casting Furnace?

I was thinking about getting one of these to melt down metal and use molds to create custom grills, buttons, knobs, and stuff of that nature.

How much would one of these things run me and how practical do you think getting one is?

Yikes... I just got home from my third shift job at an iron foundry and was hoping to get away from work...

You could do that, although aluminum may be a little light for fangrills and such... You could cast a skull or whatever then attach it to a plastic or steel backing though. Really thin parts are not good in cast aluminum, easy to break.

We tried that stuff in my highschool metals class years ago...
