not sure if this would be better posted in the htpc forum but here goes...

i'm looking for a lightweight program used only to browse blu-ray/dvd cover art but when selected launches an external player such as vlc. the movies are stored on wd tv live hub and all of the metadata is there, programs such as media browser or xbmc don't work for me for a number of reasons. the pc is not primarly used for watching movies but is doubling as a htpc sort of in the basement. so programs that want to launch in the primary display are problematic because i prefer to set the television in extended mode. also i switched to windows 8 the other day and these programs don't seem to work without a bunch of tinkering. i can just browse that mapped drive and play the movies by looking at there file names but i am looking for a more elegant solution. any help is greatly appreciated
