Messed up voltage on my e6750

So I beleive the stock voltage for this chip is 1.35V, which is what it is set to in the BIOS.
Whenever I pull up a hardware monitor (CPUID, or Eazytune 5), it shows the voltage at 1.12 and it fluctuates between that and 1.2.

Is my chip messed up? The voltage setting in the BIOS says 1.35V, but there is obviously something amiss here.

Addtionally, every board (Asus PK5, Abit IN9, Abit IP35-e) I tried this chip on would become extremely unstable and not even boot sometimes, if the settings were anything other than stock. Every single one did the same voltage thing.

BTW, I'm on a Gigabyte P35-DS3R now.

Newest version of CPUz show proper voltages and Intel chipset boards have a lil quirk called a Voltage droop on the CPU vid. Example In my BIOS it shows 1.381 CPUZ shows this as 1.32 in Windows.

See thats the thing, I know CPUZID is giving the right numbers.
Its the numbers that are wrong. The processor should be getting 1.3~V, but its only registering 1.12~1.2.
That didnt seem normal to me. And then the fact that any modification to the FSB, no matter how small, would hang the system and not even post.

Is there a possiblity the chip is defective?

Apparently whatever it shows you is irrelevent.
The instability I was experiancing was due to my RAM being overclocked WAY past 800mhz. (You have to unlink the FSB and the RAM timing.)
I set the voltage to auto and the motherboard did the rest.

Now I'm running at 3.2 Ghz with no issues whatsoever, and the chip is running at 1.4V, according the CPUZ. The BIOS say different.

Either CPUZ doesnt read correctly(not likely, since Speedfan shows the same numbers) or the chip itself doesnt run 100% at the specified voltage.

Either way, I found the cause and took care of it. RAM is now on a 2:1 ratio of FSB, which makes it run 800mhz, which is the stock setting. You may even want to clock the RAM below stock when changing the FSB until you get some good numbers. 900mhz is WAY too high for my Dimms.
