messed up card?

I've had the same problem with my 5850. It's something to do with dual monitors from what I've read.

The odd thing with mine is that the flickering only happens every once in a while. Right now I'm running duals and no issues whatsoever.

You could try setting your memory clock to never change and see if that fixes it, if you don't mind the extra power usage.
 
that's strange, glad i'm not the only one with this problem. what's weird is earlier i switched to single monitor, OC'd and switched back and it wasn't nearly as bad as it was before.

kinda wish i had saved my settings before rebooting >=[
