Has anyone ever heard of Meru or used their products? At a major hospital near me, I noticed they were using their access points. I was wondering how they compare to other enterprise AP, such as Cisco or Ubiquiti.

Their products are targeted for specific industry applications whereas Cisco and Ubiquiti are not. While Cisco and Ubiquiti have a large number of products targeted at corporate office applications, Meru's APs are targeted specifically towards University/Hospital/Conference Center type applications.

As far as real world applications, their products are very much competitive with Cisco and Ubiquiti. Pricewise though, they are a bit more expensive. If you're looking at using them for personal use, way too much for that. However, if it is a commercial installation, I'm certain that you can justify the higher expense to your end customer if it is really needed.
