i need to buy a new laptop and a new computer. does anyone know if an indentical clock speed merom and conroe would perform exactly the same in benchmarks or what.? also should i just get a bitchin laptop and no desktop or get both? pros and cons please
 
Merom's lower FSB will hold it back a bit... but other than that they are the exact same processor. If you game at all.... I would ge tthe desktop. If you don't... get the laptop. If you need a lappy, or can really use one, and game then get both. :D
