For anyone interested Steam has Men Of War and the expansion Men of War: Red Tide for $11.89. It is a World War 2 RTS with the ability to directly control any of your units on the battlefield.
Each unit also has an inventory that can be adjusted and exchanged. One thing I thought was cool was the ability to pick up different weapons and items off dead enemies. The game also has fully destructible environments. It leans towards the realistic side and was difficult at first. The simple fact that I could not just rush through a level and that I had to plan my strategies really impressed me. Give it a shot if you think you will enjoy a realistic WW2 RTS.

I'd suggest posting this in the [H]otDeals forum as well.

This game really is quite a gem and I have been playing it since release. While I have a few gripes about it, the actual gameplay is complex and entertaining enough that I haven't bothered with the multiplayer component of my other games for weeks on end. However, the game is not for everyone, and those used to arcade style RTS games will be in for a rude awakening for this game, as realism reigns supreme. One shot kills are very much possible on your units and a greater degree of intelligent thought and care is required to be successful when playing. The single-player also offers more in the way of gameplay than most games these days, and will keep you occupied quite a bit longer than most of the other single-player games that have been released recently.

Either way, for the price that it is currently available for, the game is an absolute steal. I highly recommend picking it up if you haven't tried it. If you have the patience to configure the controls to your liking and can shrug off the voice acting (easily the worst part of the game) you'll thoroughly enjoy yourself.

Wow, nice. The expansion is single player only, but I found the singleplayer pretty enjoyable. The horrible voice acting was one of my favorites, since you don't often hear Russians pretending to be Germans and Americans(at least I don't).

[Edit:] I'm not sure if the new patch has "officially" been released or not, but there is a patch out there that adds support for the Japanese. It seems most people use that patch. I'm thinking it's 1.16.4 or something. Anyway, search the various official forums for the patch. Then copy the files to a non steam directory(game doesn't require steam to run, how nice) and install the patch onto that directory. That way you keep your steam version so you can play the older more official version(which might get updated whenever) but you also get the new patch with the Japanese as an option as well as a larger playerbase.

Tried the demo, it was alright but not enough to make me want to buy it.
