These numbers were taken after 5 frames - will post new numbers on next WU to compare

Looks like a good way to boost PPD by a few points ....

Looking at the data from the Last WU's and the current ones....

Each boxen had about a 20-45 PPD increase just by lowing the timings a little ...

I would agree anything to speed up calculation movements should impact PPD... thus the reason I woudl suggest DDR28500 at 1066 vs 800... I would also think that if you have a 3GHZ Quad it might benefit you to run instead of 9x333FSB, to run 6x500FSB. That has been shown to increase performance on games and such by 5%... that could translate into another 100PPD... This is all theory I'm more concerned about being 100% stable right at the moment with a new box, but when I get time I will jack with the settings.

Is this using the new notfred folding iso?
I was under the impression that 2 folding clients
are used for a quad core with new iso. Should
give you a boost vs. single client....not that you need any
more boosting.

The new release does support 2 x SMP on the Quads.
It does give about a 10% increase in PPD.
Unlike VMWare - you still get the 4-core WU so it does not help as much.

Also, only two of my boxen have 2GB .. the rest are 1GB.

There are a few users running some tests now over on notfred's forums and I am waiting for their results.

Also waiting to see if the hang check script works while running two clients.

On a personal note, I just like having the WU complete faster on the single client but who knows......
