Hey guys,

Just checking in to see what the latest is with RAM trends. Going to purchase myself a DFI P965-S motherboard and C2D E6420. I will be attaching a Zalman 9500 heatsink to it. I'm not going for monster bleeding edge overclocks but would like to squeeze a bit of juice out of it. :) Suggestions for 1GB sticks? I will be using two of them in a 2x1GB configuration. Thanks!

Shouldnt matter man. Any name brand 2gb kits should work fine.

Just need some confirmation on the numbers I'm running. I currently have 2GB of Corsair XMS2 PC-5400 which will run at 333Mhz at 5-5-5-15. The E6420 runs at 2.1Ghz=8x266Mhz. That means I could overclock the E6420 to 2.66Ghz using a 1:1 memory ratio or 3.34Ghz using a 4:5 ratio, all the while maintaining the RAM speed of 333Mhz This assumes the chip will go that high, I'm just trying to estimate the limitations imposed by the RAM. Does this sound right? Anything else I need to consider?
