Hook a brother up, if you would be so kind...

I am trying to help a friend buy some new ram for their g4 mac. They want a 512 mb stick. It appears that the ram is pc100. The system has currently has 1x256 and 1x512. But they need another 512 for photoshop and go-live.

Where is the best place to get ram ?

Thanks !

Just don't get stuck and have to wait another week, when I got a 512MB upgrade for my iBook G3 near Christmas, I ordered a Kingston module that "says" it's compatible with my machine, kept crashing, replaced it with Crucial and haven't had a glitch since.

Not true, some of them depending on model used PC133, he didn't specify what PB he's using, if it's a TiBook 15" made between November '02 and September '03 it could very well have PC133 and an 867MHz G4.

just checked and the 867 only takes PC133...one of the series was called (867/1Gig) and that was the first series to use a 1Gig G4 and it took PC133....the next revision was for the FW800 and that takes PC2700 but was never made in less than a 1Gig version so yeah...PC133 SO-DIMMS are what this beast wants
