I'm not to familiar with memory overclocking, though I think I have produced pretty decent results with my 2GB Patriot PC2-5300 667Mhz RAM.
I hit 800Mhz at 2.0v with 4-4-4-10 timings, this was stable in MemTest86+ for combined 7+ hours with no errors (one test ran for 4.5 hours, another test ran for 3.5 hours)
However, that is the best timing I can get at that speed/voltage. I haven't tried every single possible combo... but
4-4-4-9 = lots of errors
4-3-3-10 = lots of errors
4-4-4-10 = stable
Now, there are timings listed further down that are all set to "Auto", but I have no idea what these stand for, or what I should set them to. In CPU-Z I don't see anything, but I've seen others have numbers actually listed. Picture is below:
And what would be faster?
- 667Mhz with 3-3-3-8 timings
- 800Mhz with 4-4-4-10 timings
