Hi guys, I just built my new desktop a few days ago. the system crushes quite often. I thought it was the mother board, and had it replaced. But it didn't solve the problem. I did memory test with memtest86+, I observed the following weird things:
I have two memory slot, if I only put in one 2GB memory chip, all tests can passed in each slot. That means the 2×2GB memory chips and the memory slots should be OK. However, if I put the 2 memory chips in the two slots at the same time, memtest86+ pops up more than 80 failings.
Here is my DIY configuration: AMD X2 255, Biostar A780L3G, Patriot 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model PSD34G1333K
I called Patriot support, they confirmed the compatibility.
Could this be a bad CPU? Any input is appreciated!
