1. HAs anyone heard of SimpleTech? Are they good?

2. 2 Gigs dedicated gaming machine to much or fine?

SimpleTech has been around forever, they offer lifetime warrantee, but their RAM has never been performance RAM.

Much like PNY, Kingston (pre HyperX line) and Viking.

While better than unbranded generic, and great for office machines, buying for work etc. It is not a brand you get for overclocking or high FSB etc.
