Something's wrong with my memory. I recently added a new stick of memory in my computer. I believe it's the same speed etc as the 2 sticks I had in there before as well. I could be wrong though. My computer runs really slow sometimes and anything on the screen can look very distorted at times.

When I go to minimize things, or close things, the little minimize button turns pink and it takes forever to do anything. --Sorry, that's not explained very well but I'm not sure how to explain it.

At times my computer will run completely fine though, and it only does this sometimes. I checked and all 3 sticks are tightly in and in correct.

Sometimes when I'm playing counter-strike, things start to get really choppy untill I get this error and it closes:
can anyone help?

memtest did nothing........found no errors and i ran it for a long time.......i've taken the new stick out before and the problem still occurred.

How many passes did you let memtest86 go? Give it at least 1 pass.

If you take the new RAM out and it still does this, I might point at the video card.

Also, have you overclocked?

I'm not sure how many passes I let it go, but I let it run for at least a half hour. And no, I havent over clocked. I just took a peek at my video card, and the fan looked like it was going a tad slow, i poked the edge of the fan and it sped up, do you think that could have been the problem?
