Memory Decision

lower timings are better. the ballistix are rated for 3-3-3 vs the 4-4-4 of geil, and it's cheaper to boot. get the crucial ballistix ;)

Ballistix...although I like OCZ
heh, i like both ;)

but i just realized something dumb. those ballistix are 2x512mb while the geil is 2x1gb. dunno how i missed that before, but that turns the tables heavily in favor of geil

so you recommend the geil's? Is their a significant difference to where I should get the ballistix. What do you recommend from OCZ?

What memory would you choose as far as dual channel pc5300 ddr2 667mhz? I want to spend no more than 200 dollars. I prefer 2 gigs but if you can justify the performance to get a 1 gig, I'm open.

the 2x1gb at 4-4-4 will beat 2x512mb at 3-3-3 in everything but benches, even then it'll be close ;)

sorry to be such a no0b but is that considerably fast memory, especially for gaming.
