memory configs on a Gigabyte Z68 UD4-B3

Hey guys,
So i Have 2x4gb sticks of G.skill ripjaws 1600, I just picked up a set of G.skill 2x8gb Ares 1600 sticks. would I have any issues running all 4 sticks? If not, what would be the optimal configuration to run them in? Thanks guys

8Gb in slots 1 and 2, 4Gb in slots 3 and 4.

I'm not sure about mixing the different timings, might have to slow the faster sticks down.

thanks, i tried doing that and spent the following 3 hours trying to get through boot cycles that this POS mobo is known for. i got the 16gb working now though, gonna try to get my OC and the other sticks of ram working tomorrow. thanks for the guidance bro.

the only issue you may find with that memory configuration its the loss of the Dual Channel memory so the effective bandwidth will be cut in half, that mean you will have more but slower RAM and overall slower system.
