This may sound like an incredibly stupid question but here goes...
I recently bought a ASUS 9600gt video card, and am using it in a EVGA 850I FTW motherboard. Ever since installation, I have noticed that whenever I try to do anything that takes extensive processing power, aka, games, The card gets extremely artifacty to the point of unuse, and I get weird sound stuttering issues. Because of this I switched back to my dual 7600gt SLI setup, which worked great for me for awhile, until recently, when I started experiencing some bad memory issues on one of the 7600 cards.
I decided to try the 9600 again, and am still having the same problems. I just noticed that the 9600 gt video card uses ddr3 memory, and my motherboard only uses ddr2. Am I correct in feeling that this is the problem, or should this work?
I'm probably a complete git for even asking a question this obvious.
