memory and overclocking

I am looking to overclock my Q6600 and i heard that it is best to keep the memory and cpu to a 1:1 ratio. I am getting corsair 2x1gb dual channel to put in my computer. I already have 2x512mb in my computer, how would it do with those four sticks since they have a different specs when overclocking the cpu? Thanks in advanced
