Ok right now i currently have 1gb or ram. Im curious if it's worth going to 2gb or should 1.5 be a noticible improvement for me. I have the money to go to 2gb, but if i dont have to id rather not go to 2.

Just curious because im getting doom 3 and need enought to run that and my daily programs.

At the same time? LOL...I don't think so. If you have the money to go to 2GB and want to, then go for it. Fewer sticks (2x1024 vs 3x512) mean less chance of something screwing up.
