Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Just a question on oc'ing, what increases your speed more? oc'ing the mem or the core? i have a 256mb bus at the moment (x850xt pe) if that makes a difference.
Thnx
Mayhs
Well with that card I believe your mem is already fast enough and the core would be better.
I beliekve you have GDDR3 mem which is fast. So the core defifnitly shoudl be priority. On mine I go for an inbetween.
dont expect much on the memory, that's why the speed is lower than the x800xtpe's....but the core should overclock nicely. but why? you have ati's top of the line card.
You dont really have much headroom left on your memory (at least not without volt-modding), its currently running stock at 590mhz and 625mhz is what the memory is spec'd at. So it seems to me that if your going to get a performance increase, its going to come from oc'ing the gpu.
i was going to get a 6800 ultra now then buy one later...but when i got my computer, one 6800 ultra costs about £400 in england, and a x850xt pe is a lot faster...so i decided id rather spend about £330 quid and get better performance...also my parents gave me the money to buy this comp and i didnt want them to pay too much..and yeh i can upgrade l8r too
