Hey all, just got a tforce. Wouldn't oc worth a shit till i flashed to latest bios. Now it does 289x9 fine. However my bandwidth is really low and it seems to be picky about the mem slots. I cant run dual channel. mem is 2x 512 kingston hyperx pc2700

Here's a pic:

Maybe it's cause Im using onboard vid?

im not having the same issue...

BIOSTAR TForce6100-939 newest BIOS

you think it's the igp or this board doesn't like running single channel?

possibly the IGP... video is using ur memory bandwidth so it may have something to do with it...

are you using the two yellow slots to try dual channel?

EDIT: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=993353&highlight=x300

also, check out the FS/FT some guy is selling X300SE fort $36 shipped which should help take the load off the IGP.... X300 i think is in between a 9200 and 9600 ATI card

thanks, Ill try a pci card I got handy and see if it goes up. is there anymore info I should post? btw im using 1st green slot 2nd yellow slot. Seems to work best like that as I can run 1t

mine are in the yellow...

also, im running 2T...1T i think is overrated

Google CPU-Z, install, then run it, go to the memory section it will say Channel: DUal or Single....

its junk ram so im using a 133mhz divider on 200mhz ram... i havent tried to raise it to 166 divider because even then its under 200mhz... it just seems more stable and a bit quicker with the tigher timings (2.5-3-3-7) instead of the 200mhz (3-4-4-8)

hrmmm what kind of ram do you have again? and has it been able to run in dual channel in another board? like i said, put em in the yellow slots. im going to mess with my own settings to see if i can recreate lower memory bandwidths to diagnose ur issue.

BTW what are your system specs?

Ok i tried the following:

Mem Divider @ 166
FSB 225mhz x 9 multi
HTT x4
Mem timings 2.5-3-3-7

Bandwidth was 5888Mb/s

EDIT: Went to a 230mhz FSB and got 6018Mb/s - seems to be related to FSB...

Can you show me a screenshot of ur CPUZ?

Ok, I got dual channel to work in green slots, 1t works ok with the new bios :D

Dual channel in yellow slots = no boot, memory error.

Specs:
Venice 3000+ 269x9
Kingston hyper x pc 2700 mem div. = 133
Biostar tforce
Mad dog (rebadged ttgi/superflower) modular psu
Coolermaster cooler w/ duct + 120mm fan. In dc my eff. is 86% so I'm closer to normal no?

ok well now ur bandwidth is about right... if you had some DDR400 you can get alot better.... at stock speeds (cpu and mem) I got 6400Mb/s and then at 205mhz 1:1 i got 6500Mb/s

so that might be something you want to check out
