So, I've known for a month now that my rear exhaust fan was going bad in my case. Every now and then it would start to hum, I'd slow it down with my finger, release it, and it would spin back up in balance and be fine for a couple days.
Well, last night, I'm playing some L4D2 and my comp shuts down and won't power on. I started unplugging all my hardware in an attempt to find out WHAT exactly cooked.... until I touched my exhaust fan. After 15 -20 min of being shut down, the damn thing was hotter than all hell.
Turns out, the bearing finally locked up, the fan WOULD NOT TURN. Evidently caused it to get very hot to the point where it shorted out, and wouldn't let my PC boot. Weird shit.
So, I ordered up 3 of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998121
And one of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118046
Decided to stop being cheap, and get away from my stock HSF.
