Well Maybe not that lol, but seriously i'm having trouble with my water-cooled system.




Here's The Case

Anyway to my problem, every now and then I get these HUGE air bubbles inside the tubes, and it looks like its stopping my waterflow! Weird thing is that i'm getting average temps around CPU 30-40C on windows load, but when i play a game (ex WoW) sometimes the CPU temps shoot up to 55~60 in a matter of minutes! then i lean the case on its side, and i watch all these little tiny air bubbles shooting out of the water block, and thru all the tubes. Also, if that's not happening my video card crashes or shows little green pixels all over the screen (artifacts?). so i do the same, and all the little bubbles do there thing.

I've tried getting all the air outta the tubes, but with all the effort (spent like 30-45 minutes just finding a good angle lol) it looks like im getting minimal results.

The pump also seems to be working fine, so i'm clueless on how to get those BIG air bubbles outta there. and this is my first system so don't flame to hard.

those bubbles are stopping the airflow. the pump loses its prime when it hits the air. is your videocard watercooled aswell? best bet is to get the air out of there. i dont know what else to tell ya

yeah I agree sounds like you dont have enough h20 in your loop. Work out those air bubbles and you should be ok.
 
Yeah i've tried working them out, but it just seems to stay the same. Those bubbles don't seem to be budging. I've tried filling it up, but my reservioir is full! I'm using fluidXP+ if that helps. Also i've heard of something called a water whetter?

You need to tilt the case around while the system is running to get the bubbles to work their way out. Make sure your tubing is nice and secure, and that you have the power disconnected from everything but the watercooling loop just in case though.
 
Its not something called a water wetter it is an additive named water wetter and I would recommend not to use it.

Perhaps you should drain your loop and start over might be the easiest way to get the air out in your case.
 
I find squeezing (for like half a second) and releasing the tube where the big air bubbles collect helps them move through to the res... also tilting helps for sure.
 
Water Wetter is intended to be used with water as a base. Do NOT use it with FluidXP (which is not water).

What you have are pockets of air trapped in your loop. In short you have not bled the system properly. Dependant on your water cooling components (could you please list what your watercooling system consists of) the heater core/radiator is a prime suspect. Normally the 'Watercooling Two Step' will work fine. Thats where you get to turn your computer every which way until the bubbles reach the reservoir.

WARNING!!!

Make sure everything is held in place firmly in your system before beginning to turn your system back and forth making sure the air in the reservoir doesnt get worked into the system. Continue till all the bubbles have been transferred to the reservoir and then simply top off the res.

Air in your loop hurts your flow and overall performance. Depending on what pump you are using you can also damage the impellor on many pumps by running it without fluid in the impellor chamber. This of course depends on just how big the 'bubbles' are.

Lastly I think you would have noticed it but make 100% sure you dont have any leaks allowing air into the system. Leaks are bad regardless of what coolant you are using.
 
That is a Koolance system and you should be using their fluid. It is also a dual pump system, one push one pull. Your kit should have included a jumper to allow you to pre-bleed the system, it’s all explained in the instruction book.

Your reservoir should not be full so drain a bit out for the moment. Once you get all the air out you should leave the fluid level about 3/8s of and inch or so below the top to allow for expansion.

I’m not familiar with the coolant you are using but it’s possible the viscosity is too high for the Koolance pumps.

I’d empty the system, flush with distilled water (cheap by the gallon at your grocery store) and start over using the bag of coolant Koolance supplied. What they supply works well and needs no further additives.

Also, make sure there are no kinks in your tubing, that can cause problems as well.
