Medieval War crash: System Debugger

One of my friends recently installed SP2 (why, I don't know) and now Medieval War doesn't work at all. He has to alt-tab out to get an error message, which reads: Turn off System Debugger before starting this application. I tried turning it off in regedit under Local machine > Software > Microsoft > Windows NT > Current Version > AeDebug and I tried setting Auto to 1. Apparently that was stupid, because it didn't do anything. I really don't know how to figure this out....help please! :confused:
