Media Server Help

First a disclaimer: I have absolutely no what I am doing. I am a total newb at this

The Goal: To be able to play video from my NAS on my TV.

What I have so far in terms of equipment is this

Samsung 55' TV
Denon AVR-2100
Apple TV
Xbox 360
QNAP TS-209 with 2TB Drives Mirrored
A PC.

I want to video from the NAS, what is the best way to do this?

I am so confused, can I do what I want with what I have or do I need something else like a media server or a HTPC.

You can use XBMC on apple tv and do it that way. What are your movies stored in? ISO? MKV? Is the pc hooked up to your system or is it some where else?
