1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Mainly media encoding and movie/tv watching. No gaming at all.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Probably no more than $1200 shipped
3) Where do you live?
Seattle
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
Everything except a monitor and peripherals
6) Will you be overclocking?
Probably the CPU a little bit.
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
Dual 22"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
RAID might be nice as an option, no SLI or anything is needed
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?
Yes

I'm making a build for my Dad as his is showing age. He doesn't game at all but will be watching HD. He also does a lot of audio and video encoding. This is what I thought:

motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2 X58 - $290 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131365

CPU: i7 920 - $280 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115202

PSU: Antec TruePower New TP-750 - $80 after combo with i7 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371025

RAM: G.Skill DDR3 1600 3x2GB - $100 after combo with mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231225

Video Card: Sparkle 9500gt 512mb - $45 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187035

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB - $85 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152102

Total: looking at about $1000 before shipping and factoring $100 for a case.

I know he wants a mid tower, but I don't know what good ones are in the $100 range. He likes Lian Li but we're open to any recommendations. Also, is the stock HSF good enough for mild overclocks?

I think that's about it, thanks for the help.

PC-K56 has windowless version... Bottom mounted psu :) but that is my personally taste in cases.
