hello.

my question is simple, and i should know it but i feel doofy today lol.

the switch for AC input voltage. when plugged into a wall socket. <120V i think????> should the switch be set to 115V or 230V AC input. default it came set to 230V, should i leave it there to run my 226W pelt?

a quick rundown on why it should be set to either would also help me understand this better. Thanks!

If you're in the US, it should be set for 115V. 230 is more common overseas, where the psu was most likely manufactured and is probably the reason it was set for that (though they usually configure devices for the destination environment - it was probably a mistake).

The voltage setting is not used to adjust power (wattage) output. The power capacity of the psu is limited by the design and components it uses, not the source voltage. The psu will provide the same power when operated on either 115V (US) or 230V (overseas). The voltage switch only adapts the psu to it's operating environment.
