MDPC X sleeving question.

i am fixing to do a tpn 750 with black and white mdpcx sleeving. i got a note from nils explaining that i should really use white electrical tape on my cables before sleeving (with white mdpcx) or some color would bleed thru. while i can see using electrical tape lengthwise on sata or maybe usb cables, wrapping up single wires with electrical tape could get real messy. does anyone know of some other kind of white tape, possibly mylar or nylon, that is not as thick, or have as much adhesive, as electrical tape? thanx.

Teflon tape doesn't have any adhesive, is ridiculously thin, and is white.

Electrical tape is very easy to use, it would work perfectly for this once you know how to do it. For one, DO NOT do it length wise, electrical tape is very stretchy and needs to be wrapped around the wires tightly to hold forever and doing it this way will make it tight and smooth so you don't catch the sleeving on it. Just keep the wires tight together and wrap around the wires keeping the tape tight and stretched, overlapping each layer slightly so it holds perfectly. Do it all in one quick motion so the tape doesn't bunch up and have ugly bumps on it thatll be prone to coming loose over time

Electrical tape is truly as/more godly then duct tape : ) I use it all the time at work... I'm an Electrician (go figure)

Didnt want to wast my white, but I have tons of black, here is just a quick section i did on one of my spare Power supply SATA strand. You can see how it over laps a bit

You could also use white paracord. You won't see anything through those weaves.

so i bought a few rolls of white electrical tape, and a few rolls of white silicone tape (generic and much cheaper version of "mighty fix it tape") so i will give both a shot. thanx.
