I have a water-cooled system with a 7600GT cooled by a Swiftech MCW60 waterblock, plus ramsinks. I've had this waterblock for over a year.

I'm considering an upgrade to this video card - http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814130082

Can anyone tell me if I need to order an additional part to attach the block to the 8800GTS? Swiftech's site says the block is compatible, but I've seen some old threads that mentioned a new part? Thanks,

DE

Yes, the adapter plate works...

But you NEED AIRFLOW over the card if you want it to work well.

You also need LOTS of ramsinks, and special HS's for the Vregs on the side. Dnottis's guide shows what you need.

Do the full coverage blocks (specifically the EK one) cover everything that needs to be cooled on the card?

Thanks guys.

My airflow is good, so no problem there.

I will pick up some of the mosfet sinks.

Can I re-use my ramsinks? Would I need to use superglue or thermal glue in that case?

You can reuse ramsinks.

And, no... "airflow" isn't enough. You NEED a fan pointed at this card. The external RAMDAC runs into the 80s under a few hours of load.
