Is it possible to use the pump so it is pumping downwards safely ? I've seen pictures where it have been mounted sideways, but never upside down.
I would like to mount the pump under the Lian Li pc2100s second floor, next to the hdd cages, so it would pump downwards to the first floor where I have my radiator (GTX2). :)

As long as the intake isn't pointed down, you're good.

Yep, the intake being the one that goes into the center of the pump.

um, even the intake doesnt matter much once the loop is filled. you just have to make sure you get water into the pump before you turn it on. after you fill the loop even if the pump is upside down and above the radiator, the water pressure will keep the water from coming down from the pump.

Obviously Laing thinks it matters enough to explicitly decree against it in all literature for all their devices... Although I agree 100% with your statement.
