Sitting here messing with my new tv when I hear my pc get noticeably more quiet, look at the EK spin res paddle and it's stopped. Leap over to my pc and see smoke coming out of one of my pumps, immediately flipped the psu off.
Pulled the pump out of the case and there's a stain of melted plastic that was still smoking where it sat.
Only had this about 6 months. I modded it with an aftermarket top, new o-ring, and cut and sleeved the wires. Guess that probably voids any warranty?
Ah well, will be calling Swiftech tomorrow. Good thing is their office is in Long Beach only a few miles from my work.
No apparent damage to my system. Was the pump on the gpu loop. Reset cmos and booted up with no signs of any other problems, other than my gpu idle temp up 12C over normal on the desktop
