MCP350 & Alphacool top

MCP350 and Alphacool top with led. I modded my MCP350 before they came out with these tops. So I decided to get rid of the stock top I modded and go with the alphacool top. These tops really look nice.
 
ah sweet man, so you juss take off the stock top and mount that on and you can choose whichever size barbs you want?
 
Yep easy as 1,2,3 your done fittings are it takes G1/4 inch thread. Has a hole for mounting 5mm led also

I used the second return port as a fill port.......with the way it's mounted, after a fresh fill, I'm fully bled in about 6 hours without having to tilt my case at all.

Awesome idea for the filport saves the clutter of a T-line

I second that as being a great idea! Do bubbles actually exit from the "fillport" hole on their own, or do you have to bleed it in fits and starts? Even if it's not super easy, I think it's probably worth it for the aesthetic improvement over a T-line.
 
Everything bleeds out on it's own. The flow rate is so fast that all the big bubbles are turned into smaller bubles, or almst near-foam, and then the smaller bubbles easily purge once they reach the intake. I mean, it goes quicker if you start and stop it initially, but if you just leave it run, it will automatically bleed everything out.

so do you just attach a tube and fillport directly to the secondary alphacool intake?

during operation, i assume the fillport tube stays partially filled?
 
I have one also... but i have the res attachment also.. and I use the 2nd inlet for my fill port also...

I fill the loop with the fill port loosen the cap on the res and all the air comes out as long as my fluid is higher than my res in my fill port line.... then tighten the res cap and its full bleed.... really it takes like 3 min to fill and bleed fully...

 
Yep, you may have to cut down the threads so the flange bottoms out on the o-ring (I don't like using tape when threading into acrylic). Depending on how long your fill tube is, you should only have to refill once or twice during bleeding and then do a final top off.

After everything is full bled, when you power on, the level drops about 1/2 cm than when the system is off, but yes, the fill port stays full, even with the fill port open to the air (with the system fully bled, obviously you wouldn't leave the system open to the air).

If you wanted to, you could probably Y the return line and use both fill ports and then use a conventional T-line, if you wanted to maximize your intake feed.
