It looks like MC Hammer has the funding to move ahead with his new DanceJam website. According to this news item, the new site aspires to be the YouTube for dance videos.

The Web site, scheduled to debut in mid-January, will try to upstage YouTube and become the Internet's hub for sharing and watching dance videos. DanceJam then hopes to make money by grabbing a piece of the rapidly growing Internet advertising market, which is expected to rake in $27.5 billion in 2008, according to eMarketer.

"There is no high-tech lingo or business strategy that you can talk that is above my head," Hammer boasted during an interview. "I breathe this stuff."

I would have never guessed he knew so much.

All joking aside, he may not be of [H] caliber, but if he is focused directly on this task, I think he can pull it off. If he didn't get sloppy with money back in the day with all the tools around him with their hands out, I wonder how big he'd be today.

Gonna be interesting to see how this makes money though. Hope he can pull it off.

I can't believe anyone would give this guy money or let him run anything. The only thing MC Hammer has experience "running" is running millions into the ground and filing bankruptcy.

That's actually pretty cool.

Sort of a continuous online "so you think you can dance."

Anything that actively encourages people to be creative and use their heads *and* bodies is OK in my book.

I wonder how long it'll be before someone quote Weird Al.

I can't watch this!

His parody of Hammer's 'You can't touch this"

:p

It still amaxes me he pissed away over a hundred million USD personal fortune, and declared bankruptcy. Now this !?
