Maybe I should get memory that doesn't run above 1.9 volts. most memory I see is rated for 2.0 2.1 volts. is there any decent good memory that will run stable at 1.8 volts.

If you view this thread then you have a few moments to comment on the components and give your porofessional opinion.

Most DDR2 memory runs at 2.0v or higher

I have the Asus M2N-E which has a max voltage setting in the BIOS of 1.95v. The memory I have is the OCZ Platinum which says 2.0-2.1v needed. I have had no problems with running at 1.95v (according to the bios).

If you are very concerned about the volts, you will need to choose a higher model mainboard that will cost a bit more. (the Nforce 590 chipset will support higher RAM voltages).

Thanks. Yes I have noticed most higher end mem runs at 2.0 and higher. I am just concerned with temps getting too high at those settings. I have the Antec 900 case with all the fans. I run the fans at medium settings.

I have 4 gigs of G.Skill DDR800 2x2048 and that same mobo and it runs perfectly fine with my memory set @ 1.8v

Thanks. what are the timings? did the g skill come with a HEAT SINK
