Which drive would you choose? Which is faster and more reliable?

Thank you :D

It's only a couple of bucks for the Maxline 3 and that gives you 5 year warranty instead of 3. Definitely worth the extra if you ask me.

exact same drives, cept maxline goes through more testing and hence comes with a 5yr warranty.

Maxline is 3 dollars cheaper than the diamondmax10 at newegg?

buy from zipzoomfly! You won't regret it! Better packing, just as cheap, free 2day shipping...

I second that for sure. ZZF or HyperMicroSystems. One of the 2.

Both drives are virtually the same. Technically the ML3 is rated for a higher MTTF than the DiamondMax10 and comes with a 5 year warranty. If the prices are about the same, definitely get the ML3.

zzf sent me a wrong video card a couple weeks ago tying up $400 of my funds for 2 weeks and nearly delaying my SLI-fun weekend. big thumbs down from me.

This isn't about them shipping the wrong product. It is about Newegg shipping hard drives with improper packaging, causing early failures and DOA. Completely unacceptable.

If you don't like ZZF, fine, buy from HyperMicro.

I just looked up the Maxline, and it said that based on a statistical sample, they expect the mean time to failure to be 1 million hours. That is almost 115 years of 24 hour a day use! Somehow, I don't think that I will still be using the same HDD in 115 years, but it is good to know that they think it will still be working then. :)

So I wonder why they only give a 5 year warrantee on it then?
