Sorry for reposting these questions, these seem to be buried at the bottom of another thread.

For the ASUS Maximus Formula SE mb:

Previous thread recommended a CPU model number E6550 - that's the Intel Core 2 Duo E6550, which has the 1333MHz FSB recommended.

This is good for this mb?

What does the Quad CPU do that Core 2 doesn't or vice-versa?

And as far as memory, 4 of these - Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model PEP22G6400EL.

This is for a gaming machine I'm building for my son.
