Whats the max safe volage for my P4 2.4ghz 'a'

I tried googling it, but I couldn't get any descent results.

i agree, p4s are practically indestructable.. as long as you keep them cool they will run at practically any voltage..

i saw the A and thought it was a northwood 400 mhtz fsb part..... intel really needed to keep the E for prescotts or create a new class

arnt prescotts supposed to desire voltage more then northwoods do?

There is a perverted logic to how Intel names their processors, but I won't get into that now.

From what I have read 1.65V is about the max you want to push a Prescott to.. They start at a lower voltage than the Nortwoods. (they draw more current (amps) than the Northwoods do that's for sure)
