Have got my cpu now to 4.1ghz stable, was wondering how far can i safely go with my vcore before i'm really pushing it am currently at 1.5000v (bios) around 1.44v under load (core temp reading VID)
just can't understand why i need so much voltage to get a 4ghz overclcock, for 4ghz i need 1.4750 in bios for it to be stable!!!! am i missing someting here, i've tried boosting FSB And southbridge etc to way above what should be needed like 1.45v etc is there anything i'm missing wich could be making my system unstable
Yes but while i appreciate everyones advice, however with the best of respect this is a qx9770 £1000 chip i've never heard of one under performing like this i can't even get it stable at 1.4v in vista it crashes doing basic things this can't be correct surely!!!! the chap above has the qx9650 and he's able to do better than me with much less vcore?????
not expecting much more if at all more but jesus christ i can't even get the same
here a pic of my voltage settings just wanna confirm when were talking about vcore we are talking about the setting not the current value?
Okay so you have a Vdrop there of .065V. So the actual voltage you're running right now is 1.41. My Ip35 pro is like that too...I set the Vcore to 1.545 to actually get 1.5V. So keep an eye on the "Current" value.
