Hey all-- putting together a 3 screen trading plate forum and am wondering if or what the max resolution windows 7 will allow... Im looking to run 3 27" screens with 1960x1080 mounted vertically(on their sides)... Its just showing stock graphs and information-- so not really intense in the graphics department.. Does windows 7 impliment a max resolution?-- figured 3x1960x1080=5880x3240 res...

Thanks for any input..

ps.. since its such un-dynamic images-- do you think this could be done with just a 4570k on board graphics? Or would i need a extra gpu?

Windows 7 does not have a 'pixel' limit. You are limited to the display ports you have. Personally, i would just buy a cheap gpu and hook em all up to that just for peace of mind.

If you are planning on doing this with just onboard, it depends what motherboard you are using and the i.o it has for video. If it has displayport, you could go with a displayport mst hub, which would allow you to hook up your three monitors (if they have displayport) to one dp on the mobo.

1920x1080 vertically is 1080x1920

three 1080x1920 panels = 3240x1920 resolution
