Max Possible Settings for FEAR?

I'm running in 1920x1200 (2405) so what are the max settings i can run the game at? specs in sig. right now im doing medium everything basically with 2aa and 8af.
 
What does the auto-detect say? You can also test the settings in the game menu. Its pretty cool stuff, it even gives fps numbers.
 
it labeled my computer as "medium" and video card as "medium" lol. this game has some ridiculously high requirements. oh well, looks absolutely stunning.

id like to think, however, my computer is a little above medium :).
 
Well, you can always change settings and then test it with that demo thats built in.
 
I have the same basic processor (165 at 2.4) same gpu (7800gt and 2 gigs of ram.

it ALSO detected me as medium.

So i cranked everything up to maximium and it purrs like a kitten with the only slow down being saving checkpoints, which stops EVERYBODY's computer.

so, go nuts.

what aa/af do you have? if i do 8aa/16af it runs like shit. also, when i have physics/sound details on maximum, i get horrible fps rates. i think it was like 57% under 25fps. anything i should be doing specifically?
 
Well, up until this morning I was running this game with everything maxed out 4AA. But for some reason my computer stopped seeing my second gig of ram so now I'm most likely going to be back at medium settings again with 2aa or even worse no aa.

Well at that res, 2xAA would look great and probably wont hurt you that much. Then I would crank up the AF one at a time and run the stress test and go from there. For the other options I think you can probably do high, except the shadows, since I found those are pretty demanding.
 
thanks LM, took your advice and the game looks great. i cant believe it looks THIS good though, i mean it makes hl2 look like crap :).

im in love with pc gaming as of this moment.
