Max FSB of 257?

For some reason something is limiting my FSB from going any higher then 257...
I've tried bumping it up a bit higher and lowering multi, tried raising cpu, ram, and nb voltages but nothing, it won't boot with anything higher then 257?
My ram is DDR2 667Mhz, but I run it effectively at 844Mhz. I was thinking of trying to raise FSB to 333 to run the ram 1:1 but it's not going well...
Shouldn't my motherboard be able to handle higher than 257? what else would be holding it back?

motherboard is a Gigabyte MA69G-S3H, v4 bios
CPU is an AM2 4400+

200 to 257 is fairly good.
