matx mobo for overclocking

I have a sony vaio that i want to upgrade.I like the case and want to mod it but i just found out that it has an mATX mobo.So my ? is what is a good mATX mobo for overclocking ( i want to use an AMD Athlon xp 2500+ and overclock it) i am currently looking at the following:

EPOX EP-8RGM3I
CHAINTECH 7NIF2
ASUS A7N8X-VM

Are any of these good choices as i have heard mixed reviews of all.
 
I would also get a diffrent power supply because they might of switche dthe wires like dell.
 
the best CPUs to overclock with these days are the AlthlonXP mobile CPU's. The Standard 2500+ come locked multiplier now so only FSB overclokcing can be done. Although most 2500+ chips will run 3200+ speed by simply upping the FSB to 200. This will require some PC3200 DDR. The Mobile CPUs are 2400+, 2500+, 2600+, 3000+. The 2600+ overclocks the best from the reading I have done. My 2400+ has hit 2.8Ghz on a Nf7-s. And tops out are 2.6 on a DFI, because I cant use anything past 1.825 without instability problems. Its a tradeoff, because my old Nf7 toped out at 230FSB and the DFI did 250+

PSU: you will need a new PSU, wile OEM mfg's are not allowed to make there systems proprietary so if tis a relatively new machine (2-3- years) the PSU will match up, but it is not strong enough for a althlonXP. You will need at least a good quality 350watt, or a standard 400+ watt...do some research there are some cheapo brands out there that turn out to be really really good quality PSU's with strong rails. Some of the dells at my work are 3 years old and all the parts can be replaced from newegg, nothing is proprietary in them. Expect the front USB plugs (the end that hooks up to the mobo is different plug form the standard, but i just cut if off and made my own, it works.

As my new baby take all my money (i still love her) i was going to ugrade to a A64 but now im stuck going back to a althlon XP (sold my current mobo and chip) I will be getting a AN7, and a 2600+mobile. I am using a antec 550wat PSU.
 
BTW: I know that the orignal EpoxNforce2 mATX baord whas a great overclocker, i dont remember the model#, bit the one you see now on newegg the a revision of the board, ill look for the model # for you. But you wont find it on newegg so if you want it you will be going to some smaller seller for it..

But it was a reallygood overclocker. multiplyer adjust, good voltage options, and mounting hole around the socket for larger HS/F and water blocks.
 
Well killa i was just on the biostar website and the Biostar M7NCG 400 ver 7.2 looks pretty tasty as it has all of the options for overclocking, fsb,overvoltage,multiplier so i am gonna give it a look i think.Also i have seen some M ATHLON XP 2500+ here in Canada but most are OEM and carry a 7 day warranty.I want the mobile XP because it it only 1.45v and runs cooler.I can get both board and cpu for $250 cdn.

P.S. i hear ya about the lil one as i have one too.
