I'm looking for matte display in size about 50". I don't care if it is TV or monitor.

Tough i guess i would prefer monitor for 1:1 image. But the main priority is matte/non-mirror screen.

I don't want black mirror in living room, so any suggestions for glossy displays and lighting, shades etc. are irrelevant. I hate TV/monitor/display reflections when it is OFF.

Is there anything on the (european) market?

Lowest possible price :D

1080p or 4k, does not really matter as long as it is not (black) mirror

4K certainly won't be "Lowest possible price". Or for 4Kishness one may have to give up a lot in very cheapest ones.

Cheapest trully non reflective/mirror or trully matte screen. Whether 4k is in the and cheaper than 1080p maybe, idk, it does not really matter.

Curtains....

Matte tv's are usually semi-glossy, get a Sony series 7 or 8 work properly with PC's and have low input lag, check HDTV TEST UK or Rtings for reviews, though neither test for LED PWM Dimming/Flicker. Fortunately manufacturers are not dumb enough to pair grainy matte coatings with large pixels.

What about iiyama LH4664S and other devices like this one (NEC PD V463, Philips BDL4650EL, ...)?

Are devices in this category matte?

Most TVs have gone the semi-glossy or glossy route these days. I went down the same road and mostly came up empty.

Large format, commercial, and digital signage displays are an interesting idea, but only the manufacturers can say for sure what screen coating is used on a given model. Let us know what you find out...

If it is only most and not all - which did not gone to sem-gloss or gloss? :D (just kidding, probably none, but i can't delete this post \: )

Well, a lower end brand by the name of Sceptre was one of the last matte holdouts as far as I could see. Might be worth asking them about their latest product's screen coatings.

responses so far
iiyama - ending in AG = matne and all non touch should be (ie. LH5580S-B1, LE5564S-B1, LH6564S-B)
NEC - 700cd are matne
Panasonic - nothing
Sony - unable to answer
Philips - unable to answer
LG - nothing
samsung - so far no reply
sharp - nothing

Sceptre is not sold in EU AFAIK

Xinmosni - i'm not exactly sure why is me not liking to have mirror in kitchenliving room personality problem. Tough going as fare as not buying any TV, but trying to find matte one, which is currently absolutely niche market is obviously extraordinary :)

Largest LG that SHOULD be mate is LG 47WS50BS, i asked them about 46" and larger (so little less then 50" just in case), i'm not sure about it as LG wrote me that they don't sell matte screen. Maybe this can be useful information for some else "researching" this.

LE5564S-B1 seems like great choice so far and for about $1600 it is only about half more expensive then brand name 55" TV

I would love something like this but the "TV's" are just not as good as monitors so I use 4 30" dells
